The verdict is out. The trial is over. Sekai Kyusei Kyo will pay World Church of Messiah 1.3 billion yen, that is, more than 8 million US dollars at today’s exchange rate. Not only that, all the land and churches currently being used by World Church of Messiah all across Japan under the name of Sekai Kyusei Kyo will be transferred to the name of World Church of Messiah. These properties are worth several million dollars in total. That is, in essence, Sekai Kyusei Kyo has to pay, at least, more than 10 million dollars to our Church, to World Church of Messiah, to the Church of Meishu-sama. Just to be clear, World Church of Messiah does not have to pay anything to Sekai Kyusei Kyo. If you think this is the only loss Sekai Kyusei Kyo has suffered, then you are gravely mistaken. Sekai Kyusei Kyo has consistently claimed that the executive board resolutions to expel Kyoshu-sama and World Church of Messiah are legally valid. And to their satisfaction, they achieved a complete victory in the first trial at a district court. The district court deemed that SKK’s board resolutions were legal—plain and simple. As Japan’s judicial system allows two appeals, first to the High Court, then to the Supreme Court, World Church of Messiah appealed to the Tokyo High Court. I will avoid going into details, but since the Supreme Court only addresses constitutional matters, the High Court was effectively the final stage for this legal battle. It was in this High Court that the judges expressed their doubts about the first ruling, stating that they would not deliberate on the case as it involved religious issues, that both parties should seek reconciliation, and that Sekai Kyusei Kyo must pay World Church of Messiah a settlement amount. I want to be clear here. If SKK’s board resolutions to expel Kyoshu-sama and our Church had been legally valid, the initial ruling at the district court would most certainly have been upheld in the High Court too, and SKK would not have needed to pay such a large sum of money or lose numerous properties throughout Japan. In other words, the High Court judged that SKK’s board resolutions to expel Kyoshu-sama and World Church of Messiah were not legal—plain and simple. For detailed information, please refer to the document published by World Church of Messiah on this matter, but to put it simply, the High Court ruled that Sekai Kyusei Kyo is to pay hundreds of millions of yen for the construction of a new official residence for Kyoshu-sama, thus acknowledging the legitimacy of the existence of Yoichi Okada Kyoshu-sama—something that SKK has been trying to deny ever since June of 2018 when they passed their resolution to oust Kyoshu-sama. As mentioned earlier, throughout this trial, World Church of Messiah was using properties registered under the name of Sekai Kyusei Kyo. If the High Court had upheld the first ruling, SKK could have demanded around 10 million dollars from us as compensation for the use of these properties. But as the first ruling was discarded, SKK lost the chance to obtain this money—I mean, they even lost all of these properties to World Church of Messiah. Also, during this purification, SKK filed a lawsuit against Kyoshu-sama and me, demanding 1.8 billion yen in damages, well over 11 million US dollars, claiming that due to the purification of the Church, many members left to follow Kyoshu-sama and donations significantly decreased. Members of SKK outside Japan: look at how many members there are who stood up with Kyoshu-sama, giving no thought to the onetime, physical sacred grounds. And I am talking about the Japanese members who understand the Japanese language, that is, they have a better understanding of what happened here in Japan with Kyoshu-sama and also have more knowledge of Meishu-sama’s teachings. It is, really, time for you to reconsider your faith. But this 1.8-billion-yen damage suit was filed seven years ago. Since then, it is clear that the situation has not changed much, meaning that the damage has been done to SKK every year for the last seven years. Multiplying 1.8 billion yen by 7 equals 12.6 billion yen or over 80 million dollars. That is, a simple calculation shows that Sekai Kyusei Kyo suffered a loss of over 80 million US dollars in the past seven years because of Kyoshu-sama and me. Let me just remind you that this 1.8 billion yen in damages that they say they suffered in a year will continue from here on too. In ten years, it will be 18 billion yen, in twenty years, it will be 36 billion yen—equivalent to over 200 million US dollars. Just so you know, SKK was also required to withdraw this damage suit against Kyoshu-sama and myself during the settlement process. If you add up everything that SKK may have lost because of this change in the judgment at the Tokyo High Court, it will come up to more than 100 million US dollars, even by a modest calculation—the settlement amount of 1.3 billion yen; the properties handed over to us; the compensation fees for the use of these properties over the last seven years; the loss of donations caused by Kyoshu-sama and myself. The question we must ask is, why did SKK spend more than 100 million dollars in the last seven years? And the answer is clear: to eliminate Kyoshu-sama. They used this enormous amount of money just to oust Kyoshu-sama from their Church. That’s right—they spent more than 100 million US dollars in an attempt to get rid of Kyoshu-sama, and me, from their Church. And you know what this effectively means? It means that SKK spent this much money to eliminate Meishu-sama from their Church. Yes. They spent more than 100 million US dollars to eliminate Meishu-sama from their Church. “How could that be!” you might say. But Sekai Kyusei Kyo, from the time of Nidai-sama, our second spiritual leader, determined that Kyoshu-sama is Meishu-sama, that Kyoshu-sama is the one who conveys to us the will of Meishu-sama. I mean this was even stipulated in the bylaws of Sekai Kyusei Kyo, in Article 5, Section 1—that Kyoshu-sama inherits and carries out the sacred work of the founder, Meishu-sama. Here, I am not talking about something spiritual, religious or random, nor am I sharing my personal opinion. This is in the law of Sekai Kyusei Kyo. It is in their constitution. They decided, through their bylaws, that Kyoshu-sama inherits and carries out the sacred work of Meishu-sama. For SKK, Kyoshu-sama is Meishu-sama. For SKK, if you remove Kyoshu-sama, you are removing Meishu-sama. So remember, members of Sekai Kyusei Kyo, from now on, no matter how much you claim or believe that you are connected to Meishu-sama, you are not. Kyoshu-sama is Meishu-sama, and Meishu-sama is Kyoshu-sama. Having ousted Kyoshu-sama, there is no Meishu-sama in your Church, unfortunately. The truth of Meishu-sama has been inherited by Kyoshu-sama. With this, I am simply stating the obvious, for Kyoshu-sama is Meishu-sama. From now on, World Church of Messiah will move at full throttle to fulfill what Meishu-sama so deeply wished—to work in concert with Christianity to save the whole world. When he founded World Church of Messiah more than 70 years ago, Meishu-sama declared that he would use all his knowledge and might to work together with Christians to save the world and that the members of both World Church of Messiah and Christianity must diligently fight together to bring eternal peace to the world. As we reconfirm this determination of Meishu-sama, let us remind ourselves once more why SKK tried to oust Kyoshu-sama from their Church in the first place: because he had a Christian friend and was trying to understand the Bible and convey to us the importance of Jesus’s teachings, or rather, because he was trying to work in concert with Christianity. That is, Kyoshu-sama was doing exactly what Meishu-sama said, yet Sekai Kyusei Kyo sought to remove him. Consider the level of absurdity in this. Why did they act this way? In my view, it was because they were afraid—afraid that they would need to accept Jesus Christ, the one who redeemed the sins of all humanity. Nothing is more inconvenient for a human being than to be told that they are a sinner. For if everyone is a sinner, how can one maintain, let’s say, their religious authority, or their elevated position as a “reverend” of the Church? Fear of losing your own religious authority, your dignity as a spiritual figure and all your accumulated virtues—wasn’t this the very reason why the Jewish religious leaders and the Pharisees crucified Jesus? Two thousand years later, in Japan, Sekai Kyusei Kyo tried to do the exact same thing to Kyoshu-sama. But look at how this trial turned out in the end. World Church of Messiah fully accepts Jesus Christ—the one who paid the price for our sins. Sekai Kyusei Kyo, by avoiding and failing to sincerely accept Jesus, ended up paying a heavy price. I cannot help but believe that Jesus Christ was at work behind this great turnaround in the trial’s outcome, as if to show us, If you do not accept me who paid the price for your sins, you need to pay it yourself. World Church of Messiah believes a hundred percent in Meishu-sama and in his declaration that we must work and fight together with Christians to bring eternal peace to the world. That is, we also believe in Jesus Christ a hundred percent. Am I saying all this to judge and criticize SKK? No. My wish is simple—that they repent for what they did to Kyoshu-sama, to Meishu-sama, all the acts of secretly following, filming and making them public without his consent, acts widely regarded as criminal in most countries, and come to accept the true Meishu-sama and Jesus Christ now being conveyed through Kyoshu-sama, through World Church of Messiah. From now on, we will advance the Messiah Movement, letting the whole world know that every human being is destined to be born anew as a Messiah. For those who want to take part in the Messiah Movement, join us. For those who aspire to bring eternal peace to the world, join us. And for those who seek to correspond to the will of Meishu-sama and Jesus Christ, join us. Say what you want, but World Church of Messiah is the only path there is to save the world, and the only path there is to be truly connected to Meishu-sama and Jesus Christ, our Savior. And lastly, in the name of World Church of Messiah, and in the name of Kyoshu-sama, that is, in the name of Meishu-sama, may God bless the future of Sekai Kyusei Kyo and all of its members.
