The four of them offer prayer to the Okada family ancestors at Kannon-ji Temple every August, but this time, the reporting team was granted special permission to cover their visit. After arriving at Kannon-ji Temple, they warmly greeted the head priest. They then cleaned the family grave and the surrounding area, and offered flowers with heartfelt sincerity. With Kyoshu-sama leading the prayer, Mayumi-okusama, Masaaki-sama and Mami-okusama recited the divine name. The grave site visit was completed peacefully, and at the end I was allowed to take commemorative photographs. It is precisely because the generations of the Okada family ancestors exist that Kyoshu-sama and Masaaki-sama are present in this current era, and we members are able to receive the gospel of salvation. That we are able to walk the path of true faith under the leadership of Kyoshu-sama and Masaaki-sama is both a miracle and a great divine grace. Gratitude welled up within me, not only toward Meishu-sama, who determined Kyoshu-sama and Masaaki-sama, who carry on his bloodline, as God’s representatives and sent them to this world, but also toward all the generations of the Okada family ancestors. Taking the missionary work that Masaaki-sama demonstrates wherever he goes as our model, we too wish to respond to this divine grace through our own missionary efforts, even if only in the smallest way. I newly engraved this resolve deeply in my heart.
