Even in this foreign land, Masaaki-sama and Mami-okusama handed Portuguese leaflets to the restaurant staff, and during their walk, they also distributed them to passersby and staff and customers of other restaurants they encountered. Not only that, according to their secretary, while Masaaki-sama was waiting for his checked luggage after disembarking at Lisbon Airport, a person he had befriended on the plane came to address him, and Masaaki-sama directly handed the person a leaflet. What a wonderful episode that truly shows Masaaki-sama’s approachable personality. They also distributed leaflets at the various airports along their way, and Mami-okusama even handed one to someone who happened to be next to her in the powder room as well as to cleaning staff. Furthermore, during their trip from Lisbon to Coimbra, at a parking area where they stopped, Masaaki-sama personally provided translation support while Mami-okusama handed out leaflets. In this way, the two of them were handing out leaflets, truly, at anytime, anywhere, in every conceivable situation. Just in this one day alone, how many people did Masaaki-sama and Mami-okusama hand leaflets to? This is a missionary attitude that far exceeds our imagination. When I reflect on my own attitude compared to the example of Masaaki-sama and Mami-okusama, I cannot help but feel that I don't even come close to their level. Masaaki-sama and Mami-okusama constantly show us the attitude we should have. Let us thoroughly follow their example and walk the path of missionary work, anytime, anywhere, and to the very end!
