The participants included President Cabuço, executive directors, regional directors, deputy regional directors, and department directors at the headquarters from Angola, as well as President Albert from the Democratic Republic of Congo. At the luncheon, before the meal began, everyone offered a prayer in Portuguese led by Masaaki-sama. The luncheon was held in a friendly atmosphere from beginning to end, and at the end, Masaaki-sama and Mami-okusama presented gifts to all the participants. To President Cabuço, Masaaki-sama and Mami-okusama gifted a tie and pocket square, and to Vice President Manuel, a pocket square. All of these were made from the same fabric as the clothing and scarf that Masaaki-sama and Mami-okusama wore during that day’s service. To the other participants, they individually gifted Japanese fans decorated with summer motifs such as fireworks and morning glories. Everyone seemed unable to hide their surprise at the unexpected gifts. They were beaming with joy and delight. President Cabuço immediately put on the tie and spread his arms wide to express his overwhelming happiness. It was truly like a child rejoicing upon receiving a gift from their parents. In fact, many members of Angola called Masaaki-sama “Father” and Mami-okusama “Mother” when they exchanged handshakes and hugs. All the members in Africa know that Masaaki-sama and Mami-okusama are their spiritual father and mother. I, the reporter, could not help but feel that we, the members of Japan, also need to firmly have this attitude and mindset. We were reminded once again during this luncheon that was filled with warmth, that we are members of the Messiah Family, who are blessed to have Masaaki-sama as our father and Mami-okusama as our mother.
