This is the fourth bento in Mami-okusama’s kogomi (fiddlehead) series, following the heart-shaped design in the “smiley elephant bento,” the kogomi tail in the “little squirrel bento,” and the kogomi ears in the “koala comfort bento.” While preparing this bento in the quiet of her morning kitchen, Mami-okusama looked at the kogomi and thought, “This time, I’ll make them look like car tires.” And so the journey begins by car! Over the hills of juicy bamboo shoot patties and along the winding yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) mountain roads, the adventure continues. Delicious aromas drift from every path and the road stretches on ahead. With the hope that opening the lid would bring even a small smile to her children’s faces, Mami-okusama set out to create a bento filled with excitement. Packed with surprises to spark her children’s sense of adventure, this is a fun bento where the kogomi tires spin at full speed. Needless to say, her children who enjoyed the bento were filled with joy, smiling from ear to ear. During the kogomi season, Mami-okusama brought her bentos to life through one imaginative use of kogomi after another. Her fresh inventiveness never ceases to amaze. May we also learn from her example of drawing out the uniqueness of each ingredient that God has created. Through Christian Veganism, as taught by Masaaki-sama, we have come to know the true richness of experiencing the changing seasons. Let us share this with many others and, together, praise God, who bestows His blessings upon us. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨Mami-okusama’s vegan bento—the ultimate handmade bento, rooted in prayer and Japan’s climate and terrain. 🌿 100% pure vegan—made without any animal-derived ingredientsCompletely free of meat, seafood, eggs, dairy, and even honey.A bento filled with kindness, expressing respect for all life. ❄ Zero store-bought frozen foods/prepared dishes🤲 Everything is handmadeFocusing not on convenience, but on genuine flavor. Each item is carefully prepared to bring out the natural taste of the ingredients.A bento filled with the warmth and love of home. 🚫 No added sugars of any kind—including white sugar or artificial sweetenersBringing out the natural sweetness of the ingredients, for a pure, clean flavor. We value the natural sweetness that is gentle on both body and mind. ✨ Completely free of additivesThe beauty of nature itself, without relying on preservatives, artificial colors, or artificial seasonings. We are committed to purity—this is the food we eat every day. 🌱 Uses Christ Farming produce whenever possibleChrist Farming as established and advocated by Masaaki-sama, originator of Christian Veganism.Through the Holy Spirit that descended on the day of Pentecost after the resurrection of Jesus, all creation was renewed.Reliance on pesticides, fertilizers or animal-derived materials are no longer needed—the soil itself will grow crops. We believe in Jesus, whose presence is alive in the soil and nature. 🍚 Uses rice cooked in a clay potEvery morning, in the early hours, the rice is 30%. Also known as Japan’s Vegan Beauty, she is the wife of and Aide to Masaaki-sama (Masaaki Okada), World Church of Messiah’s Representative of Kyoshu. She is a vegan recipe developer focusing on the Japanese vegan diet. She is the first to establish the “vegan deco ben” (vegan decorative bento) and “vegan kyara ben” (vegan character bento) genres. Not only are they beautiful to the eye, these bento are created entirely from plant-based ingredients, in line with what Masaaki-sama teaches on the truth of food, that seasonal and local eating rooted in the climate and terrain of Japan is the most beneficial for health and well-being, that is, to eat what grows in one’s local region. Through these and also through the creation of her many original recipes, she seeks to spread the Christian vegan diet—the true healthy diet. She graduated from University of Tsukuba. During her studies there, she became actively involved in volunteer activities such as refugee support. She was also repeatedly asked to participate in the Miss Tsukuba Contest and was approached by many modeling agencies, but she declined all of these offers as she wanted to focus on refugee support activities. In recognition of her efforts in refugee support, she received the University of Tsukuba President’s Award in 2012. She holds a license to teach English to intermediate and high school students. After graduating from university, she began working for World Church of Messiah in 2013. In 2014, she married Masaaki-sama, the great-grandson of the founder of World Church of Messiah, Meishu-sama (Mokichi Okada 1882–1955), and the representative and successor of Kyoshu-sama. On May 24, 2026, on the day of Pentecost, she assumed the position of Aide to the Representative of Kyoshu. Currently, while raising three children, she is working tirelessly unlike anyone else in the practice and spread of the Christian vegan diet as taught in Masaaki-sama’s revolutionary message: “Christ Jesus was the last and ultimate sacrifice—so it is no longer necessary to eat a diet that comes with the suffering of animals.”
