What is Christ Farming, as established and advocated by Masaaki Okada? Firstly, those employing this farming method practice the Christian Vegan Diet, also established and advocated by Masaaki Okada, based on the principle that “Christ Jesus was the last and ultimate sacrifice, so it is no longer necessary to eat a diet that comes with the suffering of animals.” Specifically, this means a diet free from all animal-derived foods such as meat, fish, dairy and eggs. Secondly, food is grown without pesticides, fertilizers, excrement or urine of any kind, or EM (Effective Microorganisms), and uses no animal-derived materials. Compost consists of only fallen, dried leaves and the like. Thirdly, the land being used has been blessed through the Christ Farming Prayer. The farming method that satisfies all three of the above conditions shall be designated as Christ Farming. With these conditions established, on this day, the first rice paddy in the world using Christ Farming as established and advocated by Masaaki Okada came into being, and on the same day, Masaaki-sama and Mami-okusama honored us by personally taking part in the rice planting.With Masaaki-sama’s special permission, we humbly present here the video of the full Christ Farming Prayer offered by Masaaki-sama, with English subtitles.
