The Sacred Word that Masaaki-sama shared in Japanese in the Instagram video “Speaking about Holy Saturday” remains vivid in our memory. On Holy Saturday two thousand years ago, people who could not possibly have known of the resurrection of the crucified Jesus lost hope and shed tears of sorrow. This sacred guidance from Masaaki-sama teaches us that the rain that fell on this year’s Holy Saturday (April 4) in Atami represents the tears shed by those who mourned the death of Jesus at that time. At the Sacred Ground of Soil, the large reservoir that members had been constructing by hand since January was finally completed on March 5. However, the lack of significant rainfall meant that it remained unable to collect water. However, from this year’s Holy Saturday through Easter Sunday (April 4–5), torrential rains fell in the area around the Sacred Ground of Soil, and through a remarkable grace, the reservoir was filled to approximately 90% of its capacity, holding around 100 tonnes of water. This occurrence, which aligns perfectly with Masaaki-sama’s Sacred Word about Holy Saturday, is a wondrous miracle in which rain—the tears of those who believe in Jesus—has filled the Sacred Ground of Soil, where the Christ Farming established and advocated by Masaaki-sama is being advanced. We cannot help but feel God’s profound will that the Sacred Ground of Soil fulfill its mission through Masaaki-sama. At the Sacred Ground of Soil, which had been blessed with this mystery, 481 members gathered throughout April and sowed 35 kg of corn seeds over a square plot measuring 112 meters on each side (equivalent to 12,544 m²). At the same time, seedlings of papaya, pumpkin, cucumber, jimboa (a cucurbit-family leafy vegetable widely eaten in Angola and other African countries), okra, and feijão (the bean used in a traditional Angolan stew) were also planted.
