At the Sacred Ground of Soil, where Masaaki-sama Farming continues to be practiced in earnest—419 members came to serve in October of last year. In each of the five newly prepared plots of land (each 60 m²), six raised beds measuring 1 m × 10 m were created, and 6,174 onion seedlings, 1,532 lettuce seedlings, 112 cabbage seedlings and other vegetables were planted. Seventeen raised beds were prepared in two separate plots (each 10 m × 13 m), where beans were planted. The month’s harvest yielded an abundant crop: 245 heads of lettuce, 11 kg of tomatoes, 16 kg of jindungo (a type of red chili pepper), 14 kg of eggplant, 27 kg of sweet potatoes, 17 kg of onions, and 17 kg of beans.
