Since March, a spiritual retreat program has started at the Sacred Ground of Water in Brazil, based on the Sacred Word of Masaaki-sama. The program is designed to promote healing from illness through a stay at the Sacred Ground of Water, where participants experience Masaaki-sama Farming and the vegan diet. On February 21 and 22, the first pilot retreat was held in preparation for the program’s full-scale launch. A total of 26 people participated, including President Paulo Santos, executive directors, staff and members. The retreat began with prayer and breathing practices on a hilltop. Holding hands in a circle, participants reflected on the Sacred Word of Masaaki-sama and a passage from the Bible, reaffirming the role and significance of the Sacred Ground of Water for all people in Brazil. Afterward, participants were divided into three groups and engaged in activities such as cleaning the grounds and planting seedlings of green beans, tomatoes, and melons in the cultivation area. They also sang songs of World Church of Messiah together with full voices, experiencing moments of deep relaxation and reflection. The vegan meals during the retreat were prepared by the participants themselves, using vegetables and fruits grown within the sacred ground. At the close of the retreat, participants shared their personal reflections and the emotions they experienced at the Sacred Ground of Water. Among the responses were: “While singing, I was struck by the realization that in heaven, everyone was offering songs of praise to God together, and it moved me deeply.” Another said, “As I reflected on the ‘Words of Light,’ tears came to my eyes, and I was filled with a profound sense of happiness.” The retreat at the Sacred Ground of Water, where each participant was embraced by the love of Masaaki-sama, was a time filled with great joy, profound emotion, and gratitude. With this pilot initiative proving successful, the staff members of Brazil strengthened their determination to carry out the mission of the Sacred Ground of Water as revealed by Masaaki-sama. The first official spiritual retreat took place on March 28 and 29. *Photos (all taken during the pilot retreat on February 21 and 22)Photo 1 (above): Hand in hand, participants engage in prayer and breathing practices.Photo 2 (above): Preparing the soil and planting seedlings.Photo 3 (above): Preparing vegan dishes using limes harvested at the Sacred Ground of Water.Photo 4 (above): Enjoying an abundant vegan meal.Photo 5 (above): Warm smiles emerge as participants gather around a vegan meal.Photo 6 (above): A moment of open-hearted conversation.Photo 7 (above): A group photo filled with smiles.
