While Meishu-sama, our founder, was born on the day after the winter solstice, the day after the shortest day of the year, when daylight once again begins to lengthen, Masaaki-sama was born on the day after spring equinox, after the day in which daylight and night are of equal length—a turning point marking the beginning of longer daylight. Still further, in Christianity, March 21 is known as an anchoring date to calculate Easter. The spiritual connection between Masaaki-sama, Jesus Christ and Meishu-sama can no longer be considered coincidence and can only be described as the inevitable will of God.After spending his childhood in London, England, Masaaki-sama returned to Japan. After earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Melbourne—ranked 13th in the World University Rankings (University of Tokyo, Japan’s top university, ranks 32nd)—he officially began to serve at World Church of Messiah. Although he had the option of pursuing doctoral studies at one of the world’s finest institutions, Oxford University, he chose University of London due to his field of research. He earned a doctorate in Study of Religions with his dissertation on “Nature in the healing and farming practices of Okada Mokichi.” A true trilingual speaker, his English rivals that of his native tongue, Japanese, and he has also acquired command of Portuguese.
